Javier A Bastidas

Javier A. Bastidas graduated from Dartmouth College, and he earned his J.D. from Tulane Law School, where he also received his European Legal Certificate. After working for a private family law firm in San Mateo County, Mr. Bastidas came to San Francisco to work as a Supervising Attorney for the Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) and headed the Litigants without Lawyers Project, which was designed to assist unrepresented parties in Domestic Violence cases. He has been a member of the California Bar since 2005, and the State has certified him as a Domestic Violence counselor.

During law school, Mr. Bastidas was a research assistant for Oliver Houck, a distinguished environmental law professor. He was also a Corporate Affairs Manager for a Silicon Valley-based Social Networking Site, where he helped organize the International Corporate Social Network Design Counsel, held in San Francisco in 2007.

Mr. Bastidas has made numerous appearances in Family, Juvenile and Criminal courts throughout the Bay Area. He has volunteered for VLSP's Legal Advice and Referral Clinic (LARC) as well as Project Homeless Connect.
